Step 1: Check whether you need a visa at all
Citizens of a number of countries can enter Vietnam visa-free for a limited number of days – check yours in Vietnam visa requirements by nationality. Travellers from the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and India, among many others, always need a visa.
Step 2: Pick an urgent option that beats your departure
| Option | Submit (Vietnam time) → result |
|---|---|
| Standard | About 5 business days |
| Urgent 3 days | Submit 08:00–16:30 → result after 2 days (17:00) |
| Urgent 2 days | Submit 08:00–16:30 → result the next day |
| Urgent 1 day | 08:00–10:00 → same day 17:00 10:30–16:30 → next day 12:00 |
| Urgent 4 hours | Before 09:00 → 11:30 09:00–14:30 → same day 17:00 |
| Urgent 2 hours | Before 15:00 → same day 17:00 |
| Urgent 1 hour | About 1 hour (during working hours) |
| Weekend & public holiday | Submit 08:00–14:30 → same day 17:00 |
All times are Vietnam time (GMT+7). Example: your flight leaves tomorrow at 10:00 and it is now 13:00 in Vietnam – the 2-hour option (submit before 15:00) gives you the e-Visa by 17:00 today.
Step 3: Get your documents ready in 10 minutes
- Passport valid for at least 6 months – a phone photo of the data page is fine if it is sharp and glare-free
- Portrait photo against a white wall, no glasses
- Entry date and the airport you will land at
- An email address you can open on your phone
Our form checks both photos before submission, so you don't lose your slot to a rejected picture.
What the airline will check
Airlines verify your visa or visa exemption at check-in, and may refuse boarding without an approved e-Visa. Download the PDF to your phone and, if you can, print a copy.
Already at the airport?
Message us right away on WhatsApp +84 906 486 999. During Vietnamese working hours the 1-hour option is the fastest route; outside working hours we will tell you honestly what is possible before you pay.
Weekends and public holidays
The weekend & public holiday option accepts applications from 08:00 to 14:30 and returns the e-Visa the same day at 17:00 (Vietnam time). Around Lunar New Year (Tết, 6 February 2027) the Immigration Department closes for several days – don't leave it to the last minute.
What can still delay an urgent e-Visa
- A typo in your name, passport number or date of birth
- A portrait or passport photo that does not meet the requirements
- Downtime of the official e-Visa system or exceptionally high volume
If a delay is caused by the system or force majeure, see our refund policy.
FAQ
Can I really get a Vietnam e-Visa in 1 hour?
Yes, with the 1-hour option during working hours, as long as your documents are correct and the official system is running normally.
Is it cheaper to apply myself at evisa.gov.vn?
You only pay the government fee there, but you wait for standard processing (about 3 working days). Urgent processing is what our service fee pays for.
Do I also need something for the airport?
No, the e-Visa is enough. If you want to skip the immigration queue, add airport FastTrack.
Thai Viet Tourism is a licensed private travel agency (International Tour Operator Licence No. 48-472/2025/CDLQGVN-GP LHQT), not a government website and not affiliated with the Vietnam Immigration Department. We submit your application on your behalf through the official portal evisa.gov.vn; the visa is issued solely by the Vietnam Immigration Department. You can also apply yourself at evisa.gov.vn.
